Court shifts hearing to 19 February, day after CEC retires

Justice Surya Kant moved the hearing to 19 February 2025, a day after Rajiv Kumar's retirement, and told Prashant Bhushan the 'consequences' of the court's decision would follow even if appointments were made in the interim. On 3 February the bench had said it would try to hear and decide the case on 12 February.
