A draft roll is not the final roll — names still return through claims and appeals.
The draft roll is published after enumeration. Names left off it can come back through claims and objections, and new electors are added, before the final roll is published. So the share left off the draft is usually larger than the net change from the pre-SIR roll to the final roll. Where a final roll isn't in the record yet, only the draft measure can be shown.
Figures run to Sep 2026. Several final rolls were still pending then.

ECI records Tamil Nadu's final roll at 5,67,07,380 general electors plus 67,056 service voters. As reported by PTI, the CEO said 27.53 lakh eligible electors were added and 4.23 lakh ineligible names deleted during claims and objections (19 December 2025 to 30 January 2026), and that 97.37 lakh names were deleted overall against 6.41 crore before the SIR.
Dates conflict: ECI's 15 March 2026 note says Tamil Nadu's final publication was on 17.02.2026; PTI reports the CEO released the final roll on Monday 23 February 2026. The '97.37 lakh deleted' figure the CEO cited is the draft-stage exclusion, not the net fall.
