Sandhu records DG (IT) has no legal authority to restrict roll officers

Sandhu recorded that CEOs, DEOs and EROs said they lacked proper and complete access to ERONet, that their powers had been curtailed by centralised control at DG (IT) level, and that the DG (IT) had no legal authority to restrict them. He directed full access immediately and asked the DG (IT) to certify it from all CEOs.

Internal note seen by The Indian Express. Khanna did not answer the newspaper's questionnaire. Whether the certification was given is not known.
