Adhir Chowdhury asks for shortlisted candidates' profiles; receives 200-plus names
On 12 March 2024 Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury asked the Legislative Department for details of the shortlisted names. On 13 March he was sent a list of more than 200 eligible persons; the search committee had not yet shortlisted anyone and could not finalise a list at its meeting that day.
The court order says 'more than 200'; Chowdhury told IE the list had 212 names and was delivered at night.
