Sushil Chandra takes charge as Election Commissioner

Sushil Chandra, a 1980-batch IRS officer, took charge as Election Commissioner a day after ending his term as Chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (1 Nov 2016 to 14 Feb 2019). The Commission then had Sunil Arora as CEC and Ashok Lavasa and Chandra as ECs.

The Gazette notification of his appointment was not located; PIB records only the assumption of charge.
