Supreme Court issues notice on challenge but refuses to stay the Act

A bench of Justices Sanjiv Khanna and Dipankar Datta issued notice on Jaya Thakur's petition, returnable in April 2024, and refused an interim stay. Justice Khanna told counsel the court could not stay a statute like this.
