Opposition seeks CEC's removal, court-monitored probe, halt to SIR

In coordinated press conferences, opposition parties made three demands: remove the CEC, a Supreme Court-monitored inquiry, and a pause of the SIR. K C Venugopal, P Chidambaram, Akhilesh Yadav, Abhishek Banerjee, M K Stalin, Mamata Banerjee, Tejashwi Yadav and Kapil Sibal spoke; Sibal said decisions taken without the majority should be void.
