The Cockroach Janta Party demanded Gyanesh Kumar's resignation within 48 hours, an independent inquiry into SIR decisions, a halt to exclusions, repeal of the 2023 appointment law, and publication of the Commissioners' notes. On 25 September it said protests would begin on 2 October.
No direct response to this statement was found. The Commission's standing reply to the investigation is its 23 Sep 2026 press note (sir-rules-eci-pn-119-response).
