The Commission announced it would build ECINET, a single platform subsuming about 40 of its existing web and mobile applications. Some modules were first used in five Assembly bye-elections in June 2025, and a trial version was used during the Bihar SIR and elections.
The 4 May 2025 press note itself (ECI/PN/207/2025) is listed on eci.gov.in but its download returned 'Access denied' when fetched on 2026-09-25; the date is taken from two later ECI press notes that cite it.
