Lok Sabha passes bill with most opposition MPs suspended

The Lok Sabha passed the bill after a debate of about an hour and 40 minutes in which 12 MPs spoke, while 97 opposition MPs were under suspension over protests about the 13 December Parliament security breach. AIMIM's Asaduddin Owaisi was the only speaker to oppose it. Meghwal called the Supreme Court's committee a stop-gap measure.
