According to documents seen by The Wire, Karnataka's CEO office wrote to ECI Principal Secretary Pramod Kumar Sharma setting out the data the state CID wanted on applications to delete Aland voters, including destination IP addresses and OTP details. The CID had written to the CEO on 16 January, 1, 14 and 25 February 2025.
Karnataka's CEO at the time is not named in the reports; V. Anbukumar took charge only in July 2025 per the ECI directory. The letters were released by Congress in September 2025.
