Delhi issues 31.64 lakh SIR notices to draft-roll electors

Delhi's CEO said 31,63,930 notices had been generated for draft electors who could not be linked to the last intensive revision or had 'logical discrepancies'. It said a notice does not mean deletion, and that no name can be deleted without a hearing and a speaking, appealable order; notices are to be disposed of by 29 October 2026. Reports said Election Commissioner Sukhbir Singh Sandhu was among those flagged, for a name mismatch, and his entry was later validated.
