Chandigarh's draft of 21 July listed 4,50,282 electors; 69,461 were unmapped and 68,700 flagged for logical discrepancies. 4,644 were found ineligible at hearings, 15,117 inclusion claims were accepted and 5,190 names deleted on Form 7 objections, giving a final roll of 4,60,209 on 22 September.
Based on an SIR data compilation seen by The Tribune. The 4,644 found ineligible at hearings overlap with the 5,190 Form 7 deletions (4,385 of which were for non-appearance at the notice stage): 4,50,282 + 15,117 - 5,190 = 4,60,209, so the 4,644 should not be subtracted again. Chandigarh's pre-SIR roll size was not in the opened report; a Civilsdaily summary (6 Sep 2026) put Chandigarh's draft 31.84% below its 2024 Lok Sabha electorate.
