While hearing a plea on Covid protocols for counting in Karur, a Madras High Court bench of Chief Justice Sanjib Banerjee and Justice Senthilkumar Ramamoorthy was reported to have said orally that the Commission was singularly responsible for the second wave and should perhaps face murder charges. The remarks were not part of the written order.
