Former Finance Secretary Rajiv Kumar appointed Election Commissioner

A Law Ministry notification said the President appointed Rajiv Kumar, a retired 1984-batch IAS officer, as Election Commissioner in place of Ashok Lavasa. He took charge on 1 Sep 2020, leaving his post as Chairman of the Public Enterprises Selection Board.
